DESCRIPTION:Bazaar the show celebrates and highlights the diverse interests
and genres of artists at both the Upland and Sunland Studios.\nThis year\
, Tierra del Sol gallery director Paige Wery selected one work from each a
rtist\, and from these found common themes that together playfully suggest
a marketplace of delights. Bazaar Bazaar offers visitors an immersive exp
erience that engages multiple senses\, from tactile ceramics and textiles
to colorful watercolors\, portraits and landscapes.\nAs gallery director\,
Wery doesn’t dictate or guide Tierra del Sol artists’ practices\, and thi
s exhibition demonstrates the same model of studio-to-gallery relationship
s that built and maintain the art canon. Encountering the sublime and brin
ging that experience into the public imagination is exemplified in this ye
ar’s group show\, while breaking the boundaries of the canon to include th
