While Tierra’s studios provide a place for over 145 artists to pursue a career in the arts and build their portfolios through illustration, painting, ceramics, and textiles, the Fashion Show launches a new creative outlet for those artists who have a passion and talent for apparel design. The project gives these artists a unique platform to showcase their work and the gifts they bring to the world with a broader audience, and for that, we are grateful.”
Founded 54 years ago by eight families, Tierra now serves over 800 people with developmental disabilities each day throughout the Great Los Angeles and San Bernardino County areas. Partnerships with 160 community-based businesses, nonprofits, colleges, and art organizations, give associates, students, and artists the opportunity to lead productive and personally meaningful lives through workforce development, volunteerism, education, and the arts.
