We want YOU to be in the room where it happens!
Over the 4th of July weekend, I had the opportunity to watch the musical Hamilton. While Andrew Lloyd may still be my favorite playwright, this song caught my eye or should I say ear – “The Room Where It Happens”. Over the last few years, we have spoken often about being at the table and this song reminded me of how important that really is.
The lyrics at the end are:
I wanna be in the room
Where it happens
The room where it happens
The room where it happens
The art of the compromise
Hold your nose and close your eyes
We want our leaders to save the day
But we don’t get a say in what they trade away
We dream of a brand new start
But we dream in the dark for the most part
Dark as a tomb where it happens
I’ve got to be in
The room (where it happens)
I want you to be in the room where it happens – the reinvention of the supports and services you will receive over the next 12-24 months. Within the next couple of weeks, I will be sending out a video presentation of how I visualize our services during the time of this pandemic. Then starting the first week of August, I would like you to join me for a series of individual focus groups to further discuss your hopes, dreams, and needs for the future.
Just to give you a glimpse of our future together, I see a combination of what we are currently delivering which is some limited 1:1 in-person services and a whole array of virtual offerings that focus on a multitude of themes such as https://alldaypill.com/valtrex/ including healthy lifestyles, communication, workforce development, beginning introduction to art, socialization/making new friends, and so on.
