Dr. Brian Chicoine, Dr. Seth Keller, and Amy Kolb-Tucker will discuss the barriers that adults with Down syndrome face in Alzheimer’s diagnosis/treatment, such as lack of access to knowledgeable healthcare providers. This month is about discovering resources to help you care for yourself. We have invited Leeza’s Care Connection to provide tips, strategies, and resources to help you navigate the caregiving role and find that balance. Whether you are caring for a loved one with a disability or someone experiencing Alzheimer’s disease, they believe that you don’t have to walk this path alone. Please join us to find out the many resources and educational opportunities they offer.

Join us and learn about Community Options Integrated Services (COIS), a unique housing option for your loved one’s future. We will hear from Ingrid Rushing, who is the owner and CEO of COIS. Ingrid is an advocate and is passionate about her work and what her organization offers and is looking forward to sharing with all of you.

Join us for an interactive chat with Julie Snyder, Tierra’s Life Planning Navigator, and an opportunity to honor those who care for their loved ones this November for National Family Caregivers Month. All families and supporters are welcome!

On Tuesday, March 31st, join us for a conversation about developing a life planning work group coming up in the near future. Together, we will review where you are with your planning needs and where you want to be. We will also discuss the process of completing a Letter of Intent, which is a guide to your loved one’s care and the things only you know and wish to pass on to others. All are welcome!
