Evelyn Campos

About the Artist

Since 2007, Evelyn Campos has worked as a studio artist at the Claremont Art Center. Her
colorful depictions of animals and flowers are a unique hybrid between graphic composition
and abstraction. Campos uses a clean style and precise draftsmanship, which allows for the
personalities of her characters to be revealed. Most of her work consists of painting and
drawing, however she also creates utilitarian forms and elegantly patterned tiles in ceramics.
Campos has exhibited at such venues as Crawford Art Gallery, Cork Ireland; California Baptist
University, Riverside, California; West Los Angeles College Gallery, Culver City, CA; Bridge
Gallery, Los Angeles City Hall, Los Angeles, California; EXPO Arts Center, Long Beach,
California and Zask Gallery, Palos Verdes, California. In addition to her studio work with First
Street Gallery, Evelyn volunteers in support of the art classes at the Joslyn Senior Center in
Claremont, California.
